This is a big weekend for Brenham - the first big event of the new year that we all wait for with great expectation... the annual Uptown Swirl! Saturday there will be hundreds of lively folks swirling about downtown with smiles and wine tasting.
There are other activities other than the Swirl, too, in case wine tasting doesn't appeal to you. Check it out...
1) Downtown Brenham's Uptown Swirl - tickets are available online and glasses are available on the day of for purchase at the gazebo while supplies last. Tickets are $30 and include a keepsake glass and up to 50+ wine tastings.
2) Great live music will be playing on Friday and Saturday night at Nathan's, Buffalo Creek and the Kenney Store. Details
3) Round Top Festival Institute will hold the annual The Meg Quigley Vivalde Competition & Bassoon Symposium all weekend. If you want to attend a performance, just show up and get a ticket at the door. Performances are Sat, Sun & Mon at 7:30pm.
4) Winedale Historical Complex is holding a Texas Master Naturalist Program on Saturday from 11:30-1:30.
5) Arts for Rural Texas has a new art exhibit this month and are holding an artist reception party from 5-7pm on Saturday. Details
