5 on FRIDAY: June 20-22, 2014

There's not a lot of events happening this weekend, but we're not short on fun! Here are some suggestions...

1) Live music galore on Friday night - Nathan's BBQ, The Kenney Store, and a free praise concert at the park! Saturday night features a Christian rock concert at Silver Wings as a benefit to local churches and Still Creek Ranch's ministry, Restore Her (rescuing young girls out of human trafficking).

2) Round Top Festival Institute has orchestral type music being played by its students this Saturday. Get tickets to enjoy a wonderful display of talent!

3) Visit Chappell Hill Lavender Farm. They have a cute gift shop and fields of lavender.

4) Tour the historic 1914 Burton Cotton Gin. Tours are given Fri & Sat at 10am and 2pm. This gin is known as the oldest continually operating gin in America!

5) Go geocaching! Our "Birthplace of Texas GeoTour" is ongoing, ready and waiting for you to find all the caches. Don't know what geocaching is? Learn about it!
